I am trying to evaluate the costs and benefits of foraging decisions of the potter wasp Delta dimidiatipenne and its impact on other interacting species Copidosoma primulum and Heliothis nubigera. In this project we evaluate a seemingly maladaptive foraging decision by the potter wasp. This study will shed light on the mechanisms for the maintenance of this specific phenomenon, as well as on the persistence of maladaptive behaviors in nature, in general.
