My Master's thesis is focused on testing the effect of weed management regimes (application of herbicides to prevent weed germination between vine rows versus the conservation of natural vegetation within crop fields) on arthropods in vineyards of Israel. More specifically, my aim is to determine if the abundance and diversity of parasitoid wasps, natural enemies of potential vineyard pests, are enhanced by the presence of natural vegetation within the vineyards.
