I am studying insect-symbiont interactions. The overall goal of my study is to characterize the effect of Wolbachia on Synosternus cleopatrae fleas at the individual and population levels. A better understanding of insect-symbiont interactions may have an important contribution to the control of agriculture pest and vector borne diseases.
